The Journey Home

With the server finally started, it was time for the long journey home. First, I had to go through the whole tutorial area of Incarnam, again! Sure I could have skipped almost everything. But there were achievements and rewards to collect. Quite a few of them.
At least they provided a to-do list.
As expected, the first creatures I saw on arrival were the Gemlin and the Bow Meow. Hmmm, the Gemlin said it would do anything I want... I wonder if it can harvest?

After administering the required Bow-Meow beating, I got my Gemlin pet. Yay, I had someone to point out obvious gameplay. And it repeated often. I shall definitely not forget anything important, thanks to my new pal.

After a few more basic lessons on gameplay, I decided to refresh my memory of Wakfu's backstory from the convenient picture boards placed a short distance around Sokay in Incarnam.
One-page History Lesson.
Then I attended a repeat of combat training. On the plus side, I spotted a few Easter Egg jokes that I had missed the first time around. Note the 'name-dropping' in the chat window in the screenshot.
Combat training area.
Combat gameplay was taught through illustrated lessons. It was cute to see them again.
Flanking attacks made simple.
When combat was done, it was time for the basic tutorial on ecology. There were a few goodies to collect here so I spent some time bullying the local Gobballs.
Nab it, Mimi ain't dropping the rare!
I did watch for the rare drop from Mimi but he (yes, he is a 'he') was stingy. I got bored and gave up waiting. Even if I did get the drop, it would be too risky to use at my level anyway. Hopefully, I shall get the drop later.

Having done what I could (and had patience for) in Incarnam, it was time to head down to the world below. I was sent somewhere else on the way, though.
Not again!
I was dropped into the final boss area. From the beta, I knew what would happen if I charged the possibly still level-200 boss. So I decided not to waste time and get on with my journey home.
Visiting the embassies.
I picked up my Tufty Tofu pet, which was a gift from my subscription. Replacing the Gemlin with my new pet did not silence my dedicated little buddy's tutorial messages. I shall certainly not forget basic gameplay anytime soon.

There were still a few short visits to make before I got home. I visited each of the local embassies and checked out the tavern. I considered leveling enough to do the challenge in Astrub. However, after I had seen the reward, I decided it was not worth the time. I really, really wanted to go home to my nation of Bonta.

So I applied for my passport and went for the borders of home. The guard recognized my passport and let me in.
Home at last!
I noticed that Tufty Tofu pets were very rare among the players. Maybe that was why my pet was staring at the other Tufty Tofu in the screenshot above.

There shall be things to do now that I am home. There are ambulatory bags of XP to beat up, professions to learn and practice, kama to earn. First order of business was something important:
To be fair, it was a long journey!
