Life in Bonta

There was plenty to do in Bonta. I thought I would start off by harvesting some resources and making more resources out of them, then selling them for Kama (money).

I chose to start off with the Crowned Thistle and train my Herbalist profession at the same time. The only problem was that there were hardly any Crowned Thistle around. I gathered seeds from the Crowned Thistle around Bonta HQ and planted them in large clusters in Bonta Ruins.

Hours later, Crowned Thistle were everywhere. It seemed that other players had also planted Crowned Thistles. I harvested some Thistle to make Essence of Thistledown to sell later.
Crowned Thistle was then all over the place like weeds.
The main problem was that Kama was not plentiful among the players yet. No one had much Kama. The best way to obtain some then was to mint them myself. Fortunately, I had stumbled upon some Primitive Iron (iron deposits), where I could mine for raw material with which I could mint Kama.
Tufty Tofu liked to perch on my workspace.
It was a slow process, though, since the Primitive Iron were few and far apart in Bonta. Naturally, I got bored and decided to bully cute little local critters for a while.
Tofu have to be cornered if I do not wish to use Drhellzerker.
I thought I would gather material to build furniture. I had some spare Iron Ore after minting Kama so all I needed was Ash Wood. Except there was a slight problem: someone had chopped all the Ash Trees in Gnarled Barklee's Forest. Most of it, anyway.
Someone had also planted Crowned Thistle all over Gnarled Barklee's Forest.
I did eventually get a small amount of Ash Wood. In addition, I decided that I would do a bit of cooking. I thought that Essence of Thistledown would not sell well, so I made food with them instead. Hopefully, those would sell.
Cooking at the Restaurant in 5th Bond Avenue.
With a few pieces of furniture and some food to sell, I placed them into the display cases of my Haven Bag. Then it was time for a rest offline.
Arranged the goods for sale.
When I got back, only a piece of furniture was sold. Still, it was Kama. Oh well.
My first and only sale!
I decided to help Jonk Lees with one of his gathering quests. It lead to a little adventure in Gobello Prairie where I practiced my Trapper skills. There was also a little iron there to mine too. After what seemed like an eternity (the clock in the screenshot claimed otherwise), I had gathered the required material for Jonk Lees.
So it was not a heroic quest of nation building...
Much later, after more work and training, I decided to try a challenge in the Canis Plains. Canis Plains might be in a higher level area, but the local inhabitants were not aggressive. Thus, my low-level self was safe.

First, I had to wait for the right challenge to be presented. The challenge I wanted was 'Any Given Fun Day'. When the challenge appeared, at least two players must accept it for the game to start.
Running around kicking Gobbowl Balls.
It was a simple challenge of kicking as many Gobbowl balls as possible within the time period. I came up second. It was not my best effort, though. However, now I am familiar with the rules of the game.
The second place prize was not bad.
